Acrylic on paper sealed on wood.
Tracy Lee Belter
My journey in arts has been one of giving. For over 5 years I have done voluntary work in the empowerment of women through the transferal of skill, by using various art techniques. The goal has been to encourage them to become entrepreneurs themselves. In my earlier years I studied Child &Youth work, the psychological effects that trauma, abuse and neglect have at a given stage of development. My passion is to utilise my vivid imagination and my studies jointly, so as to provide ways for young people to ‘find’/recover their natural talents and, through this process, heal areas that restore self-worth and esteem.
My medium is acrylics on wood and my subject is animals and nature. I have a longstanding dream to do a very large metal sculpture somewhere in the world.
In August 2019, I was afforded a very special opportunity by the Social Department. Twelve of us were sponsored to exhibit at the annual Melbourne Fair, Australia, in order to provide exposure to South African artists.
My business, Arc Developments, which is based in Mossel Bay, focuses on Art Therapy Workshops for family units, art classes and soon also to include animal assisted therapy.
